Started with one truck and a sore back
Nick Papadopoulos spent eight years as a crew lead for other removalists before buying a second-hand 6 tonne truck in 2011. The jobs he hated most were the ones where the customer was quoted low and billed high, with the crew caught in the middle.
So Harbour City Removals started differently. Every job was quoted as a fixed price after a proper look at the inventory and access. Crews were employed, trained and paid properly, so there was no reason to rush.
Fifteen years later we run 14 trucks from our Alexandria depot, move homes and offices across Sydney every day, and run our own trucks to Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra. The promise has not changed.

We price the job properly up front, so nobody on the crew is tempted to rush. If we underestimate, we wear it.
Employed, trained crews
No day-labour or cash-in-hand helpers. Every removalist is police-checked, inducted and paid award rates or better.
Treat the building too
Floor runners, door jamb guards and lift pads come on every job, because your bond and your neighbours matter.
Fix it fast
When something goes wrong we say so, and we settle claims within ten business days.
